On   The   Green

Sunday sun sliding across the supple sky,
Noisy airplanes sing the anthem of the streets,
Smooth Scyscrapers blind the skyline,
Rocky tombstones paint perfect lines,
Upon the green...

Sunday Sun etching it's testimony on my frame,
Boiling blood beneath my bane,
My soul screaming in anticipation of the fire,
Licking the smeat, smelling the fear, that awaits,
On the green...

Sunny Sunday sobering the weekend's drunks,
Reprimanding the livers, while life passes the "good",
Smogy air breeds repugnance, fosters the synthetic,
Somewhere, wide open spaces, someone chokes,
On the green...
